2024 SEASONAL CAMP RULES
- The season begins Mother’s day weekend in May and ends on Thanksgiving Day. The park is closed from Thanksgiving Day until Mother’s Day weekend in May. There will be NO access to the park during the closed season.
- Hydro & Sewer – 30 amps. Service is provided and your hydro usage will be metered and billed to you twice a year. You must use only the electrical outlet designated to your site. No flush toilets, washers, dryers or dishwashers are permitted. It is recommended that all trailers have working carbon monoxide and smoke detectors.
- Seasonal camping rates apply to trailer owners (max. Of 2), living at the same address and dependent children (under 18) living at home. A fee of $12.00 per car per day and 12.00 per person for overnight stays when the trailer owner is present will be applied for visitors twelve years of age and older. Permission of park management and the trailer owner is required prior to anyone using the trailer that is not listed on the License of Occupation. Fees for when trailer owners are not present are as follows: $30.00 per night, per family for parents/non-dependent children of trailer owner or $40.00 per night, per family for friends/others. Trailer owners are responsible for ensuring their guests follow all park rules, at all times even when not present.
- A seasonal visitors pass is available for $140.00 plus HST. This pass includes all guests of the trailer owner and includes overnight stays when the trailer owner is present. Registered campers will be responsible for ensuring their visitors stop and sign in at office upon entering the park. For those who don’t have a visitors pass visiting fees must be paid when registering at office.
- The balance of the seasonal fee is due by May 12, 2024. After May 12, 2024 a $100 late fee plus HST will be applied. A non-refundable fee of $500.00 plus HST, for site reservation and winter storage is due by September 8, 2024. After September 8, 2024 a non-refundable $50.00 late fee plus HST will be applied. $500.00 will be deducted from the 2025 seasonal fee but is non-transferable.
- The registered camper is responsible for seeing to it that all their guests register at the office on every visit, prior to going to the site, and obey all park rules. Extra tents for accommodation of additional visitors on seasonal lots are not permitted except for dependent children (under 18 living at home). Tents must be removed after each use. Notify management before setting up a tent.
- Only 2 cars and one boat are permitted per site. You must park on your own site. Do not drive or park on other people’s sites. Do not park on vacant sites or green areas. There is a fee of $100.00 plus HST per season to park a boat or trailer anywhere in the park other than on your own site.
- Trailers and sites must be kept neat and clean at all times. Picnic tables are not supplied for seasonal sites.
- Water is supplied for personal use only. A water hose may be used to wash your trailer once per season, but not on long weekends. NO power washers or leaf blowers permitted on weekends through July and August. Watering the grass is not permitted. No car washing. No inflatable pools, hot tubs or otherwise are permitted.
- Seasonal campers are responsible for cutting their own grass. If you are unable to cut the grass or have someone cut it for you throughout the season, management will have the grass cut and a fee of $20.00 per cutting will be charged. For the first grass cutting of season, a fee of $40.00 will be charged.
- No mowing grass, use of motorized equipment or other loud, disturbing noises are permitted on Sundays.
- Do not cut trees or shrubs or roots without the permission of management. Do not tie anything to live trees. Do not put nails into live trees. $1000.00 fine for no permission. Ground cover such as plants, patio stones, flag stone, etc. must be left on site when departing, unless ground has been returned to grass before departure. No growing marijuana in the park.
- Please see management before erecting a deck or shed. Shed size maximum 8’x8’. Deck size maximum 8’ wide and no longer than the trailer without the tongue and bumper. Decks may be no higher than 24”. Maximum length of trailer, including the Tongue and bumper is 12 meters (39 feet). No washing machines or dishwashers permitted in trailers. All trailers must be pre-approved by park management. All trailers must have a holding tank and trailer toilet. No regular flush toilets permitted. No additions to the trailer are permitted. Please see management before making any changes to the site. Example flower garden, planting shrubs, flagpoles etc.
- All trailers 5 years or older coming into the park MUST have a propane system inspection completed within the last 2 months prior to coming into the park. All trailers coming into the park must provide the office with a copy their ownership.
- The office requires proof of current insurance to include a minimum of $1,000,000 liability for all trailers in the park.
- Clotheslines may not be permanently attached to the living trees and are not to exceed 12’ in length and must not block your neighbour's view.
- Please see management before erecting TV antennas or satellite dishes.
- Site fences are not permitted.
- Sewer – Keep sewer lines in no leak condition. Seals or donuts are required by the Local Health Authorities.
- Hydro – Trailer owners must ensure a properly sized cord, according to the Ontario Hydro Code supplies their trailer.
- Storage sheds must be kept locked for the protection of children. Extra refrigerators must be kept out of site in locked shed.
- At the end of the season, disconnect your water hose. All kayaks, paddle boards and anything of value must be locked up or stored out of sight while the park is closed.
- No trailer shall be put up for sale or sold on site without approval of Mackenzie Park Management. No trailers may be shown or sold in the park until ALL fees are paid in full. All negotiations for sales on site MUST go through the camp office. A $300.00 administration fee plus applicable taxes will be applied and must be paid prior to putting the trailer up for sale in the park. Trailers MUST have a propane system inspection and a valid TSSA sticker prior to sale. Inspections are the trailer owner’s responsibility. Park management will only show trailers at the owner’s request and a $10 fee will be charged for each showing. New prospective owners must have an interview and be approved by management. Seasonal fees are not transferable to new owners.
- Permission is required to change lots in the park. An administrative fee of $300.00 plus tax will be applied.
